Business Development Manager – Leisure Industry

£30,000 Plus Bonus and Company Car

About the role

We are searching for an experienced Business Development Manager for our client. The role of Business Development Manager will be accountable for the new business sales strategy, customer communication, industry networking, sales presentations, new customer sign up and product sales within the Holiday Park industry.

The Person

  • Energetic and self-motivated, relationship builder with strong negotiation and selling skills.
  • Proven New Business Sales experience and experience of the Holiday Park market a significant advantage.
  • Willing and able to undertake extensive travel within the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good attention to detail and results orientated.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.


Business Development, recruitment and contracting

  • Contribute to the wider team strategy and develop a recruitment plan for your region which ensures that both team and individual targets are achieved.
  • Cultivate, grow and own a robust pipeline and lead bank of potential locations in line with strategic development targets and working to personal monthly targets.
  • Identify and work closely with new developers in order to secure our involvement at an early stage and ensuring new developments are built to optimise rental yield
  • Face to face visits with all new locations to ensure they meet company exacting standards and all new suppliers have in place a process/system of quality control
  • Negotiate optimum commercial terms and product offering/service in line with development strategy
  • Ensure contracts are returned and signed from new suppliers and captured in internal system
  • Work with existing suppliers to identify and secure new opportunities for product growth and development of accommodation and facilities
  • Work alongside other business units within the company to identify new opportunities across business units and brands
  • Keep abreast of developments out in the field to ensure the programme is leading edge and feedback to internal teams


  • Work with new owners and internal commercial/portfolio/development teams to ensure correct pricing and profiles are agreed to optimise rental yields, including relative benchmarking and competitive analysis
  • Work with new owners to create and agree accurate content and quality imagery in order to maximise rental yield
  • Ensure that all information needed for web and marketing presentation is accurately supplied onto the content management system (copy, photography, text and tone)
  • Co-ordinate additions and amendments to information to ensure product goes on sale with the correct and representative information
  • Support on-boarding process and account management process in transition period
  • Support in the procurement of promotions, offers and extra availability
  • Support the programme in recruiting offers and promotions to maximise sales at new locations joining the company’s portfolio


  • Assist in the recruitment of quality suppliers to exhibit at the Company Owners Conference
  • Represent the company in a professional manner acting as an ambassador for the business
